Working With a Sourcing Agent in Foshan:
Your Brief & Approval Checklist
Working with a sourcing agent in Foshan starts with a clear idea of what you want to buy and what you still need to check. This page helps you put that information together, compare quotes and keep a record of what you approve. Start with the section that fits where you are now.
For furniture showroom visits, start with Lecong in Shunde. If you also need tiles, lighting or bathroom fittings, plan those stops separately and confirm addresses and appointments before you travel. Buying remotely? Ask for samples, drawings, photos or a video call to check the details you cannot inspect in person.

Working with your agent
Start with what you know
You do not need a finished specification to get in touch. A room plan, a few reference photos and rough quantities give us something to discuss. Tell us which details are settled and which you still need help with. A photo might show the style you like, but it will not tell a supplier the size, material or finish you expect.
Our team can help find suppliers, compare their quotes and coordinate samples within the scope we agree with you. You choose the supplier and approve the product details. Keeping those decisions in one brief makes it easier to see what has changed.
For example, if you change a dining table from 180 cm to 220 cm after receiving a quote, update the item in your brief and ask for a revised price and drawing. Keep the new approval with that version, so the earlier size does not end up on the order.
Before we start, we will confirm the work, fees and next steps for your project. You can read what our product sourcing service covers, or use the fee models guide to check what a proposal includes.
01 / Start where you are
Where are you in the buying process?
Choose the row that matches your order. If you are buying from several suppliers, work through the checklist for each one.
Swipe the checklist sideways to see all four columns.
| What you have | What to resolve next | Record the answer as | Useful guide |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inspiration photos | Which items, quantities, sizes, and finishes do you need? | An item list with references and open questions. | Products and materials |
| A product list and travel dates | Which showrooms and factories carry the products on your list? | A shortlist of showrooms and appointments. | Wholesale market guide |
| Two or more quotations | Are the specifications and included costs equivalent? | A comparison with assumptions and exclusions. | Read a furniture quotation |
| A preferred supplier | What evidence supports its ability to fulfil this order? | Supplier checks and any questions still to resolve. | Factory audit checklist |
| A sample to approve | Exactly which version and details are you approving? | A dated approval linked to the item and specification. | Sample approval process |
| An order nearing completion | What still needs checking, packing, or confirming before collection? | An inspection record and itemised packing information. | Pre-shipment photo checklist |
Use this checklist to prepare your order. Supplier checks and any testing required for your destination still need to be carried out.
02 / Before you approve
Confirm the details before production
Agree who will confirm each missing detail and when. Keep the answer with the quote, drawing or sample it refers to, so the supplier knows which version to follow.
Make the instruction specific.
“Dining table DT-01: buyer to approve finish sample F-02 before the supplier begins finishing.” Include the product reference and sample number so there is no confusion about what you approved.
Examples of details to check before you approve an order:
COMPARE
Two sofas, different prices
Ask each supplier to identify the frame, filling, upholstery, dimensions, and packing included in its quotation.
Before choosing: compare what each price includes, using the same product specifications.
APPROVE
Cabinets, uncertain measurements
Ask the buyer or site professional to confirm measurements, then have the supplier update the drawing and revision number.
Before production: approve the dated drawing with the confirmed measurements.
COORDINATE
Suppliers finishing on different dates
Request readiness dates and discuss the available storage or separate shipment options with the logistics provider.
Before collection: confirm the dates, storage arrangements and any extra charges.
03 / Your buying brief
Prepare one brief for the whole project
Give each product a reference number and date your list. Update it when a size, finish or quantity changes, then share the revised version with your suppliers.
What your buying brief should include
- Project and destination: home, hotel, or commercial project; destination city and country.
- Item details: room, product, quantity, drawing or photo reference, dimensions, materials, and finish.
- Details to confirm: separate confirmed requirements from items marked “to confirm.”
- Budget: currency and whether it covers goods only or also other project costs.
- Timing: desired arrival date, installation sequence, and travel or remote buying plans.
- Approvals: the person responsible for specifications, samples, and final decisions.

04 / Detailed guides
Products, markets, costs and shipping
Choose a guide below for more detail on the part of your purchase you are planning.
Choose products for your project
Organise your requirements by room or installation area, then identify which items need measurements, drawings, or samples before you request quotations.
Plan market visits or remote research
Group showroom visits by product and location. Confirm factory appointments in advance and keep time available to revisit shortlisted suppliers. For remote buying, agree how samples and product details will be checked.
Prepare a budget and compare quotations
Keep product prices separate from packing, services, transport, and destination costs. Published price ranges are a starting reference; use item-specific quotations for your project budget.
Prepare for supplier and product checks
Check both the supplier and the goods you are ordering. Keep approved samples, drawings and inspection records together for each product.
Prepare the order for shipment
Confirm each supplier’s completion date, carton sizes and packing list before booking collection. Ask your logistics provider which documents and delivery arrangements you need.
